Train Swim, Bike, Run – All Year Round

From coached pool sessions to open water swims, from social coffee spins to competitive time trials, from track speed work to long scenic runs – Galway Triathlon Club offers comprehensive training across all three disciplines, every week of the year.

Pool Sessions (Oct-Apr) – Morning & evening options at three locations Open Water (May-Sept) – Wednesday evenings at Blackrock with kayak support

Sunday Spins – Three pace groups: Latte (23kph), Cappuccino (25-27kph), Espresso (28kph+) Time Trial Series – Summer & Autumn competitive racing

Tuesday Track – Speed work at Dangan (6:30pm) Thursday Tempo – Threshold training (7pm) Saturday Long Runs – 10-12km social runs with optional dip & breakfast

☀️ SUMMER (Jun-Aug)

Race Season Heats Up

  • Wednesday open water swims (7pm)
  • Summer Bike Time Trial Series (6 weeks)
  • Club Aquathlon Series begins (750m swim + 5km run)

🍂 AUTUMN (Sep-Nov)

Series Finales & Base Building

  • Autumn Bike Time Trial Series (4 weeks)
  • Open water → Pool transition (October)
  • Track, Tempo and Long Slow Runs
  • Sunday spins move back to 9am
